Free skill for Claude · v3.7

Make Claude remember how you work.

Do it right once. Then you, your team and Claude do it right every time. Playbook Builder writes each correction you make into a playbook, with the rule, the reason and a check, at the end of the step, without being asked. You never sit down to write documentation.

Then say one sentence to Claude: “Set up the playbook builder.”

Sound familiar?

Same explanation. Same mistake. Every chat.

  • 01“I keep explaining the same thing to Claude every chat.”
  • 02“Every time it makes the same mistake.”
  • 03“How do I get my team to do it the way I do it?”
  • 04“I don't have time to write documentation.”

The lesson is right there in the chat, the moment you correct something. Then the chat ends and the lesson goes with it. Writing it down is the step nobody has time for. So Claude does it for you.

Without a written method, everyone walks their own way. Claude included.

How it learns

Every correction becomes a rule.

Work, lesson, checkpoint, next time. You keep working the way you already do. Claude keeps the notes.

01

Work with Claude as usual

Ask for the work you do anyway: a client proposal, a video edit, a report. No forms to fill, no templates to choose.

02

Correct it and say why

Something goes wrong, or you would do it differently. Say so in your own words, with the reason. That is the moment a rule is born.

You, in your own words“Price goes after the outcome. Clients stop reading at the number.”
03

Claude writes it down

At the end of that step, without being asked, Claude writes the rule, the reason and a check into the right playbook. Your exact words are kept, so the reasoning survives.

04

Next time, right first time

You, a teammate or Claude in a fresh chat follow the playbook and get it right the first time. Each pass of the loop adds one more rule. The method starts to carry itself.

What's inside

What every playbook holds

Six parts, the same in every playbook, so anyone can pick one up and follow it. Select a part to see where it lives in the file.

Your folder, your files

Share the method. Keep the clients.

Every playbook is split in two. method/ is how the work is done: safe to share. context/ holds your names, clients and prices: it stays with you.

  • When you share, Claude sends the method only.
  • It scans the method for emails, phone numbers, money, links and the private names you listed, before anything leaves.
  • Nothing goes out until you have read it and said OK.

Why AVELaunch

Snowflake by snowflake

One snowflake does not look like much. Snowflake by snowflake, an avalanche builds.

One correction looks small. Kept, it is a rule. Rule by rule, the playbook grows until the work runs the same way whoever does it, you, a new teammate or Claude on a Monday morning.

Each flake: one lesson keptScroll to build

Our team runs on it

We built Playbook Builder because our own team kept repeating the same mistakes with Claude. Our team now runs on playbooks built with it.

The playbooks we give away are the ones we use

Our four video-editing playbooks are the ones we cut our own interviews, talks and reels with. They are yours free, by email.

Who it's for

For people who already work with Claude

A woman talking through her work with Claude on a laptop
Founders and owners

“I keep re-explaining the same things.”

You use Claude every day. Explain it once, with the reason, and every new chat starts from what you already taught it.

A woman in a suit walking with a notebook under her arm
Team leads

“How do I get my team to do it the way I do it?”

One playbook, followed by people and by Claude alike. A new teammate gets your rules, your reasons and your checks on day one.

A quiet workroom with manuscripts on the desks and a man reading at the far end
Consultants, coaches, solo experts

“My method lives in my head.”

Your method gets written down while you work with clients. Share it without sharing a single client name.

Not for you if

You don't use Claude yetThe skill works inside Claude. Start there, and come back when you notice yourself repeating things.
You want a template libraryThere are no ready-made templates. Your playbooks are built from your own work, one rule at a time.

Install

Four steps, about two minutes

  1. 1

    Download the skill

One zip file, 45 KB. Keep it as it is; do not unzip it.

    Download v3.7
  2. 2

    Upload it to Claude

    SettingsCapabilitiesSkillsUpload skill

Pick the zip and switch the skill on. Skills need a paid Claude plan with code execution.

  3. 3

    Give it a folder

In the Claude desktop app, connect a folder such as Documents/Playbooks. Claude then saves every playbook there by itself. In a normal chat it still works: Claude hands you the files to keep.

  4. 4

    Say one sentence

    Set up the playbook builder.

Claude creates three folders (playbooks, inbox, system) and a CLAUDE.md with its rules, which it reads at the start of every session. From then on, lessons get written without you asking.

Then try one of these

Who made it

Why I built it

18years in business
10of them in marketing
2books of my own

I run AVELaunch Books, a done-for-you publishing house for experts. My team works with Claude every day, and we kept running into the same wall: the same mistakes, corrected again and again, because every lesson died with the chat it was learned in.

Nobody had time to stop and write documentation. So I built a skill that writes it while we work. Our own team runs on the playbooks it built. Now it is yours, free.

FAQ

Questions people ask

A closed dark hardback book on a pale surface
Most askedI don't have time to set up documentation.

You don't write anything. You work with Claude the way you already do, and at the end of each step Claude writes the lesson into the playbook itself. Setup is one sentence.

Is it free?

Yes. If it saves you time, you can say thanks: suggested 50 €, any amount from 5 €. Entirely optional.

Do I need a paid Claude plan?

Yes. Skills need a paid Claude plan with code execution switched on (Settings → Capabilities).

Will my client names leave my computer when I share?

No. Each playbook has a method/ folder, which is safe to share, and a context/ folder with your names, clients and prices, which stays private. When you share, Claude sends the method only and scans it for private details first. You read it and say OK before anything goes out.

Does it work in a normal chat?

Yes. Without a connected folder, Claude hands you the playbook files to keep. A folder in the Claude desktop app is better: Claude saves everything there by itself.

How do I update to a new version?

Download the new version from this page and upload it to Claude again. Your playbooks are files in your folder, so they stay as they are.

Is this a library of ready-made templates?

No. It builds playbooks from your own work. If you want a head start, our four video-editing playbooks are free by email.

Can my playbooks be in another language?

Yes, any language. A few structural keywords (section headings, Why, Check) stay in English so the checks can find them; Claude keeps them in place for you.
